ELIZABETH M. WALLACE

Elizabeth M. (Gillen) Wallace 79, of Pontiac Road, Narragansett, passed away Monday September 3, 2007 at home. She was the wife of Walter J. Wallace Jr. They were married for fifty-nine years. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late John S. and Margaret (Hagen) Gillen. Mrs. Wallace was an executive housekeeper for various hotels in the Narragansett area. She was also employed by the Narragansett School Department as a head chef for five years before her retirement in 1982. Besides her husband she is survived by her children: Margie M. Wallace of Narragansett, John W. Wallace and his wife Connie of Deland, FL and Michael J. Wallace of Narragansett. Mrs. Wallace was the mother of the late James T. Wallace. She was the grandmother of Joy, Evan, Amber, Peter, Madeleine and Olivia Wallace. Mrs. Wallace was the sister of Thomas Gillen of Haverford, PA and Anna "Nancy" Carroll of Warminster, PA and the late Margaret "Mae" Murray, John and James Gillen. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland Street, Narragansett and may call at the Nardolillo Funeral Home, SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL 1111 Boston Neck Rd. Route 1A Narragansett on Friday 4-8p.m. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery Wakefield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Home and Hospice Care of RI, 169 George Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860-9924.
