Elizabeth M. (Petrarca) Villanueva

84, of Cranston, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at RI Hospital, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Ernesto Villanueva. Born in West Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Antonio Petrarca and Odelia (Morris) Tartaglia.

Elizabeth is survived by her loving children, Wayne Runnestrand, Gary Villanueva, Steven Villanueva and was predeceased by her daughter the late Debra Sherry. She was the cherished grandmother of Paul Sherry (Kimberly), Christina Bentley (Lewis), and Michael Villanueva; cherished great-grandmother of John, Katelyn, and Sophia. She was the sister of Carolyn Muccio, Joanne Kates, Marie Tartaglia, Della Smith, the late Carmine Petrarca, Irene Roccio, Sandra Rocchio, Eleanor DeAngelis, Margie Ramirez, Louise Simonelli, Frances Patterson, Delores Rea, and Salvatore Tartaglia.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, Sept. 15th, at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m.
