Elizabeth (Salvo) Reis, 82, died on Friday at the Cedar Crest Rehabilitation Center, Cranston. She was the wife of Frank Reis. They celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on July 5th 2008. Born in Fall River, MA she was the daughter of the late Carl and Vera (Mithers) Salvo. Mrs. Reis settled into Cranston 51 years ago. She was a volunteer at RI Hospital for over 20 years and had assisted in the Nursing Arts Library, the Child Development Center Parents' Library, and the office of the divisional director for Psychiatric Nursing. She also worked on developing a new filing system for the assistant director of Psychiatric Nursing and was the secretary of the RI Hospital Guild for many years. Elizabeth was a National Merit Scholar who graduated from Durfee High School, Fall River, MA. in 1944. Besides her husband she leaves one daughter: Elizabeth Reis of Cranston, two sons: Carl Reis of Kirkwood, Missouri and John Reis of Cranston. She was the grandmother of John Francis, David, Alex, Sydney and the late Jennifer Elizabeth. She was also the sister of the late Carl Salvo. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Avenue , Cranston on Wednesday at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mark Church, Cranston at 10:30am.
