ELIZABETH "BETTY' M. (RICCI) MONTI
ELIZABETH M. "BETTY" (RICCI) MONTI, 85, of Johnston and Lake Worth, FL, passed away Friday, June 20, 2008 at home with her family at her side after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of Vincent J. Monti to whom she was married for 61 years.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late James and Florence (Christianson) Ricci, Sr.
Betty was a founding member of the Holy Cross Women's Guild, a member of the bocce league for the Son's of Italy, North Providence, and an avid Red Sox fan. She enjoyed spending her winters in the warm weather with her husband and dear friends.
Besides being survived by her husband, she leaves three daughters, Linda LaPierre and Bette-Ann Rossi and her husband Steven of Johnston and Susan Monti of Cranston, four grandchildren, and a great grandson. She was the sister to James, John, Richard, and Robert Ricci, Evelyn Sousa, Florence LaGreca and the late Lucille Palmieri.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Monday at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Cross Church, 645 Hartford Ave., Providence at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
VISITING HOURS MONDAY MORNING 8:30-10:00 a.m.
