Elizabeth A. Holihen

Elizabeth A. Holihen, 86 of Cranston passed away peacefully  Wednesday June 14, 2023. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Beatrice (Cardilli) Soscia. She was the wife of the late William Holihen.

Elizabeth work at CVS Pharmacy for many years as a Pharmacy Technician. Her greatest passion however would be her love to cook for her friends and family. Spending time in the kitchen was where she found her peace. Her garden was just as important to her, she could often be found tending to her flowers and vegetables.  However, her pride and joy would absolutely be her grandchildren.

She was the beloved mother of William Holihen and his wife Joanne of West Warwick, and Gina Holihen of Cranston. She was the devoted grandmother of Taylor Holihen, and William Holihen, II. She was the sister of Helen O’Desky, Mary Eannarino, Dolores DiBaise, and Robert Soscia. She was predeceased by Peter Soscia, Bertha DeAngelis, Richard Soscia, Josephine Gesmondi, and Alphonse Soscia.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday June 20, 2023, at 11:00 am at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston. Burial will follow at Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.  VISITING HOURS will be held just prior to the service from 9:30 – 11:00am. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Alzheimer’s Association the Rhode Island Chapter, 245 Waterman Ave. #306, Providence, RI 02906.
