ELIZABETH M. (LATO) 'LIZZIE' CARUSO

83, of Johnston, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 1, 2013, at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Sebastiano and Nancy (Coppa) Lato. Elizabeth was employed by the State of Rhode Island, Dept. of Human Services for twenty years before retiring in 1993. She was also employed by the former Bulova Watch Company in Providence.

She is survived by her loving children, Anthony P. Caruso and his wife Melodi of West Warwick, and Cheryl A. Ricci and her husband William of Hope. Elizabeth was the cherished grandmother of William J. Ricci, Jr. She was the sister of Gloria Lombardo of Cranston, and the late Anna Lato, Mary Brown, Carmino Lato, and Pauline Vellise. Elizabeth was the beloved aunt of Louis and Nicholas Manfredo, and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Interment will be private.
