Elizabeth "Betty" (Sollaccio) Baker

92, of Overland Avenue in Cranston passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.  She was the beloved wife of the late Walter H. Baker.  Born in Cranston, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Raffaela (Conte) Sollaccio.

Betty graduated high school in 1949 from St. Xavier Academy.  She then started working at General Electric in 1950 as a secretary for the Manager of Marketing and continued working there throughout the 1950s.  She was married to her husband Walter on December 27, 1958.  She continued her job at General Electric until she had her first child.

Betty was the mother of the late Mark John Baker, Justin Denaro of Cranston, Dianne Carol Araby and her husband John of Cranston; grandmother of Ashley Bilodeau, Cole Araby, Rory Araby and great grandmother of Chloe, Noah and Adam; sister of Peter A. Sollaccio of New Jersey, and the late Esther Scittarelli, Lawrence Sollaccio and Joseph Sollaccio.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, October 24th at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston.  Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
