ELISE R. MADDEN

Elise R. (Purcell) Madden, 87, of Cherry Hill Road, Johnston, formerly of Cranston, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2009 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the wife of the late Thomas F. Madden. Born in Brewer, Maine she was a daughter of the late Edward L. and Helene M. (Gallager) Purcell. Mrs. Madden was a secretary for the Providence College Bookstore for 19 years retiring in 1982. She was a member of the Meshanticut Vista Association. She leaves one son: Kenneth P. Madden and his wife Alice of Hope, RI, one sister, Laura I. Purcell of Cranston. Grandmother of Rebecca, Allison, Courtney and Jeremy Madden. Her funeral will be held on Friday at 9:00am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Avenue Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church 854 Providence Street, West Warwick at 10:00am. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Thursday 5:00-8:00pm.
