Elisa (Carlino) Macera

92, of Johnston, passed away Saturday January 22, 2022 at Briarcliff Manor Johnston. She was the beloved wife of the late Agostino Macera.

Born in Castelnuovo Parano, Frosinone, Italy she was the daughter of the late Angelo Antonio and Elena (Ciccirelli) Carlino. Elisa was a machine operator for Colonial Knife Company for many years before retiring.

She enjoyed gardening, cooking and family Sunday gatherings and was a devout catholic and a communicate of St. Rocco’s Church.

Elisa is survived by her children Nunzio Macera and his wife Karen of Johnston, Mario Macera and his wife Sofia of Hope, RI, Biaggio Macera and his wife Lillian of Cranston and Maria Martufi and her husband Robert of Slatersville; loving grandmother of ten and loving great-grandmother of five. She was the dear sister of Michele Carlino of Cranston, Palmina Cristallo of Penitro, Italy, Angelo Carlino of England and the late Rosa, Giuseppe, Vincenzo, Cecilia, Anna, Giacomo, Maria Assunta, Natale and Maria.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston on Monday January 31st, 2022 at 10 am. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston at 11 am. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

Visiting hours are Sunday from 4 pm to 7 pm.
