Elio Coletta

passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.  He was the beloved husband for 64 years of Mary C. (Coppa) Coletta. Born in Roccamonfino, Italy, the son of the late Angelo and Rosa (Paone) Coletta, he came to the U.S. in 1952.

Elio had his own business repairing shoes and  worked at Anson Jewelries for many years.  He was an Honorary Life Member of the Knights of Columbus Leo’s Council #71 and enjoyed wrestling, New England Patriots, Red Sox and loved to sing Italian songs.

Besides his wife Mary, he is survived by his loving daughter Linda Coletta of Warwick and his son Paul Coletta and his wife Denise of Coventry; 3 grandchildren, Kristina, Nicolas and Brianna Coletta and 1 great-grandson Kameron Coletta. He was the brother of Giacomo Coletta, Mary Caputo, Rosalie Sciacca, Henrietta Pilozzi and the late Luigi, Giuseppe and Franco Coletta.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 16th at 10 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Ave., Johnston, (social distancing and masks required).  Burial will be private. VISITING HOURS are Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston.
