Elena Palmisano

81, of Providence, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Steere House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Providence.  Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Rosario and Anna (Comella) Palmisano.  Elena was a factory worker for many years, before retiring.  In her spare time, Elena loved doing crossword puzzles and playing bingo and cards with her family and friends.  But the focus of her life was her family whom she loved dearly.

She is survived by her siblings Theresa Zarrella of Cranston and Sam Palmisano and his wife Marie of Warwick.  She was also the sister of the late Anna D’Alessandro, Rose Dimizio, Margaret Civito, Angelina “Dolly” Antonucci, Michael Palmisano, Sue Funaro, and Anthony Palmisano.  Elena also leaves behind her many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a great-great-great grandniece.

Her funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday, January 22nd at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Immaculate Conception Church, 237 Garden Hills Dr, Cranston at 11 a.m.  VISITING HOURS are Tuesday MORNING from 9-10 a.m.  Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Hope Hospice & Palliative Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
