Elena F. (Sinapi) Carbone

91, a lifelong Cranston resident, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Home in East Greenwich.  She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. George J. Sepe, DDS and the late Libero “Lee” Carbone.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Frank P. and Frances (Lorello) Sinapi.

Elena was a graduate of Truesdale Hospital School of Nursing in Fall River, MA.  She worked as a registered nurse for many years before her retirement from The Department of Human Services for the State of RI.   As an active parishioner of St. Mary’s Church, Elena was a member of the choir, CCD teacher, CYO adult adviser, Italian Cultural Society and Chaplain of the Civita Society Women’s Auxiliary.  She was also a former director of the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.  In addition, Elena was an outstanding cook and baker, avid golfer and enjoyed playing bocce and cards with her family and friends.

Elena is survived by her loving and devoted children, Patricia E. Medeiros and husband Peter of Jamestown; Maria E. Tavarozzi and husband Bruce of Cranston; George J. Sepe, Jr. of Cranston; Joseph M. Sepe of Warwick; and Thomas A. Sepe and wife Melody of Winter Haven, FL; cherished grandchildren Jennifer Boezi, Pamela Boezi, Valentino Boezi, Peter Tavarozzi, Paul Tavarozzi, Jessica Sepe, Tyler Sepe; great grandchildren Evie Tavarozzi, Olivia Tavarozzi and dear sister Edith Hall of Cranston.  She was the sister of the late Madeline DiPiro, Orlando Sinapi, Anna Mahoney, Gloria Izzi, and Frank P. Sinapi, Jr.

Funeral services will be private; her mass of Christian Burial will be livestreamed on Monday, February 8th at 10:00 a.m. through the Nardolillo Funeral Home Facebook page ( http://www.Facebook.com/nardolillofh ).
