ELDA A. DRISCOLL-DAWBER

91, of Wakefield (formerly of North Providence) passed away on Tuesday March 30, 2010 at Bright View Commons in Wakefield. She was the wife of the late Joseph Driscoll and John Dawber. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Guido and Leonilda (Bartolini) Venturi. Elda worked as a telephone operator for New England Telephone Co, for many years before retiring. As a youngster she spent her summers at Rocky Point, her love of the water and of that park in particular stayed with her always. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Parish of Providence, and St. Lawrence Parish of North Providence before moving to Wakefield where she attended St. Francis of Assisi Church. She was the mother on Elda Dawber of Wakefield, Frances DeCubellis of Martinsville, VA., Ann Driscoll, of Beverly Farms, MA, and the late John Dawber, Jr. and Jean Dawber Petty and their partners, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and she was also survived by Joseph Driscoll of Naples, FL. Shelia Goddard of Manchester, MA. David Driscoll of Bethel,CT. and their partners, seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday April 7, 2010 at 8:45 a.m. from the Nardolillo Funeral Home SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL 1111 Boston Neck, Rt. (Rt 1A) Narragansett followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis of Assisi Church 114 High St. Wakefield at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS TUESDAY 4-7 P.M. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be sent to Odyssey Health Care 2374 Post Rd. Suite 206 Warwick, RI 02886 from which she received caring Hospice Services..
