ELAINE A. 'SMITTY' (SMITH) MALLETT

61, of Argonne St. Johnston, passed away on Friday April 15, 2011 at Hospice Care of RI in Providence. She was the beloved wife of Robert W. Mallett Sr.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Frank H. and Annette (Carroll) Smith.

Elaine was a former social worker for the state of RI for 10 years, before retiring in 1992 and was a member of the local 328 retirees club.

Besides her husband, she was the devoted mother of Tammy J. Perugino and her husband Michael of Johnston, step-mother of Robert W. Mallett, Jr. of West Warwick; loving grandmother of twelve, and dear sister of Annette Pepper of Providence, Carol Pari of Cranston and Frank J. Smith of Cranston.

Her funeral will be on Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY 1278 Park Ave. Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brigid's Church, 1231 Plainfield St. Johnston at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston. VISITING HOURS MONDAY 4-9 P.M.
