Elaine Mae (Hamilton) DiCandio

84, born 9/17/1936, of Narragansett, an office manager in the athletic department of Bryant University for 34 years until her retirement in 1998, died peacefully on February 16, 2021.  She was the wife of the late William DiCandio for 55 years.

Born in Providence, a daughter of Stanley and Amelia (Perry) Hamilton.  She lived in East Providence most of her life before moving permanently to her summer home in Narragansett in 1988.  She was a graduate of East Providence High School, class of 1954.

Elaine was the sister of the late Robert Hamilton and is survived by his wife, Dorothy Hamilton of Virginia Beach, VA and nephews – Stephen and Scott Hamilton and niece Catherine Dewberry.

She is also survived by nephews Robert and Kenneth Akroyd, Ralph and David Montonaro, and niece Jayne DiCandio and was especially thankful to her niece, Norma Eknaian.

Burial services were private and in lieu of flowers, Elaine wished to have donations made to a charity of your choosing to help spread support to all those in need.
