Elaine M. (O'Brien) Blais

82, passed away peacefully after many visits from her family on January 19th, 2025. She was the loving wife of Maurice P. Blais; they had been married 56 years. Born in Providence, she was the eldest daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Flanagan) O’Brien.

Elaine graduated from Rhode Island College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. A lifelong educator, she spent the last 18 years of her career teaching second grade at St. Peter School in Warwick, RI. 

Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Christine M. Bellotti, and her husband Stephen. She was the loving Memere of Felix and William Bellotti, and sister of Edward O’Brien, Jane Rufino, and Patrice Remington. Elaine was loved deeply by those who knew her, and will be remembered for her kindness, patience, and warmth.

Her funeral will be held on January 31st, at 8:30 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory – SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Rd, (Rt. 1A), Narragansett, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 864 Point Judith Rd, Narragansett. Visitation will be held January 30, from 4 to 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of the Narragansett Library, found online at https://narlib.org/about/friends/, or to St. Peter School Pass Program, 120 Mayfair Rd, Warwick RI.
