of Mathewson St. Cranston died Wednesday September 1, 2010 surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of M. Ruth (Mignault) Palmaccio. They had been married 55 years. Born in Cranston he was the son of the late Pasquale and Gelsomina (Sorreca) Palmaccio. He was employed by Leesona Corp. for over 22 years until retiring. Previously he was employed by Cranston Print Works for 25 years. After his retirement he worked part-time for Central Nurseries and Superior Electric Co. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Tabor-Franchi VFW Post and a communicant of St. Mary's Church. Besides his wife he leaves four children Donna Fennessy and her husband Kenneth, Michael Palmaccio and his fiancAC. Donna Scuncio, John Palmaccio and his wife Lisa and Susan Palmaccio and her dear friend Anna DeSousa; three grandchildren Brian, Taylor and Justin; he was the brother of Vincenza DiLorenzo and the late Antonio and Raymond Palmaccio, Theresa Zambuco, Esther Magliochetti and Caroline Pagliarini. He also leaves many cherished nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held on Saturday at 9am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave. Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church Cranston at 10am.
