EDWARD L. ZINNO

85, of North Providence, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 16, 2013, at Bayberry Commons, Pascoag. He was the beloved husband of the late Josephine (Ciacciarelli) Zinno. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Anthony "Tony" and Carmella "Emma" (Romano) Zinno. Edward was a Plumbing Supervisor at the VA Hospital, Providence for eighteen years. He was a Fuel Operator at the former US Naval Air Station, Quonset Point for twenty-two years. He fueled Air Force One for President's Eisenhower and Kennedy, refueled planes for the Blue Angels Special events, and was a fuel operator for carriers and jets. Edward was a US Army veteran serving as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean War. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Providence Council and AARP. Edward was a communicant of St. Ann Church and then St. Anthony Church.

He is survived by his loving children, Carol Lefoley and her husband Tom of Dover, NH, and Nancy Juskalian and her husband James of Burrillville. He was the cherished grandfather of Jessica Lefoley, James E. Juskalian and his wife Claudia. Edward was the brother of Eleanor Curran of CA, and the late Anthony and John Zinno, Bertha DeSimone, and Pauline Zinno.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Road, Cranston. Interment with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Wednesday morning 9:00-10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Rhode Island Veterans Home, 480 Metacom Avenue, Bristol, RI 02809.
