Peacefully passed away, at age 95, surrounded by his loving family on Friday, September 9, 2016 at his home in Scituate. He was the beloved husband of Fannie (Foglia) Seoane. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Anthony and Georgiana (Raposa Cordeiro) Seoane.
Eddie worked on the family’s poultry farm for 28 years. He also studied drafting at New England Tech. He served in WWII in the 350th Military Police from 1942 to 1945. He was a Charter Member of the Potterville Fire Department, serving as 1st and 2nd Lieutenant. Eddie was an artist, musician, and composer. He was a volunteer at the Coventry Senior Center and performed in the harmonica band and the senior band in which he played guitar and was the vocalist. He enjoyed wood working and spent endless hours in his workshop. His most recent projects were Flat Stanley characters made for a local elementary school.
He was the devoted father of Anthony A. Seoane of Scituate, Jaqueline A. Hattoy of West Greenwich and the late Alan A. Seoane; loving grandfather of David J. Hattoy Jr., Nicholas A. Seoane and Nathan A. Seoane; loving great-grandfather of Chloe, Abby, Nolan, Stella and Xander. He was also the brother of the late Carmen Bojarzin, Josephine Nastri and Lillian Mello.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Home Service on Saturday, September 17th at 11:00 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. Burial with military honors will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: SATURDAY MORNING from 9:00-11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice and Palliative Care Rhode Island, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI, 02904.
