Edward J. "Eddy" Principe

90, of Cranston, passed away on April 11, 2021, at RI Hospital in Providence.  He was the beloved husband for 64 years of Anna R. (Mastrostefano) Principe.  Born in Providence, Eddy was a son of the late Francesco “Frank” and Francesca (Amato) Principe.  He was a stonecutter for Castellucci and Sons for many years, before retiring.  Mr. Principe was an Army Veteran serving during the Korean War, and a lifetime member of the Combat Infantrymen’s Association.

Besides his wife, Eddy is survived by his loving daughter, Frances A. Richard of Cranston.  He was the father-in-law of the late Joseph Richard.  Eddy was the cherished grandfather of Jason Richard, and John Richard and his wife Melissa.  He was the great grandfather of Joelle, Aidyn, and Jackson Richard.  He is also survived by his dear nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  Eddy was the dear brother of the late Rose Castellucci, Vienna Guccione, Ida Bavaro, Felix and Joseph Principe.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Mark Church, Cranston.  Visiting hours are on Friday MORNING from 9-10 a.m.  Burial, with Military Honors, will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
