Edward Marchetti

91, of North Providence and Delray Beach, FL, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2016 peacefully at home.  He was the beloved husband of Esta S. (Grande) Marchetti.  Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Domenic and Albina (Peterutti) Marchetti.

Edward worked as a Master plumber for many years before retiring.  He also worked for Sears Department Store for 27 years.  He was a U.S. Army/Air Force Veteran serving during WWII, where he was a radar instructor.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Geraldine Lemme of Warwick, Sandra Marchetti of North Providence; cherished grandchildren Edward, Joseph, John, Kimberly, Tara, Kerri and 17 great grandchildren.  He was brother of the late Alfred, Vera, Victor, Eleanor Marchetti and Ida Rapa.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston.  Burial with Military Honors will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS are TODAY, Monday from 4 - 7 p.m.
