83, of Cranston, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Angela, “Dolly” (Manzi) Haibon for 62 years. Born in Long Island, NY, Edward was the son of the late Robert J. and Frances (Liccione) Haibon. He worked for Brown University for 10 years and then was a self-employed master electrician at Edison Electric for many years before retiring. Edward was a US Marine Veteran, and was proud to always display the American flag. He was a boy scout master and avid Yankees and Giants fan.
Besides his wife, Edward is survived by his loving children, Edward J. Haibon of Davenport, Florida, and Elisa Ciampanelli and her husband Robert of Cranston. He was the cherished grandfather of Alex and Jessica Haibon, uncle to nephew Joseph Manzi and his wife Barbara, nieces Camille (Manzi) Egan and her husband Michael and Maria Manzi.
Mr. Haibon’s funeral services will be private. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Health Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI, or the American Disabled Veterans.
