77, of Cranston passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Friday, June 7, 2013, at home. He was the beloved husband of fifty-seven years to Meredith A. (Atkinson) DeGuilio. Born in Central Falls, he was a son of the late James and Annie (Connolly) DeGuilio. Ted was a store manager and company merchandiser for the former Almac's Super Markets for forty-two years until its closing in 1995. He was a communicant and Eucharistic Minister at St. Brigid Church. Ted served in the RI National Guard Reserves. His first love was his family, the beach, travel, fine dining, and a good martini. He attended and supported all his grandchildren's activities, music, dance, hockey, baseball and soccer. Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children, Mary Jane Volino of Cranston, Mark A. DeGuilio and his wife Angela of County Kildare, Ireland, and Leigh Ann Spear and her husband John of West Granby, CT. He was the cherished grandfather of Abby Volino and Daniel DiPrete, Katie O'Connell and her husband Garrett, Don T. Volino, Jr., Jerry E. Volino and his wife Erica, Jeffrey C. Spear, Catherine M. Spear, and one great-granddaughter Elle O'Connell. Ted was the brother of Mary Quinn of Lincoln, and James E. DeGuilio and his wife Madeline of Cumberland. He is also survived by his devoted dog "Rascal". Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, Johnston. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
