Edward DeFusco 89, of Phenix Avenue, Cranston died Friday, September 7, 2007 as a result of an accident in Cranston. He was the husband of the late Theresa (Soscia) DeFusco. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Carmine and Louise (Martinelli) DeFusco. Mr. DeFusco was a foreman for the former Dieges and Clust Jewelry Company of Providence for forty-five years before his retirement. He was a WW II veteran serving in the US Army. He resided at his present address for the past two years. He is survived by his son Edward DeFusco Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Cranston. Mr. DeFusco was the grandfather of Lorinda Bowie and her husband Dr. Robert Bowie and the great-grandfather of Cameron and Thomas all of Orono, Maine. He was the brother of Frances Bergandino of Coventry, Margaret Goneconte of Johnston, Connie Fazio, Louise Bianco, Anna Bianco, Helen Olivo all of Cranston, Josephine Campagnone of Providence, Barbara Maguire of Cranston and the late Tessie Petronio, Susie Lanzi, Anthony DeFusco and Carmine DeFusco Jr. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Cranston Street, Cranston, and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday 5-8 p.m. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
