85, of Cranston, died suddenly on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of sixty years to Beatrice M. (Cartier) Choiniere. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Arthur Choiniere Sr. and Alice (McCartney) Choiniere. Mr. Choiniere was an attorney in private practice for thirty years before retiring in 1982. Edward was a graduate of LaSalle Academy, Class of 1942, and Boston University, School of Law, Class of 1954. He was a US Air Force veteran serving during WW II. Edward was a member of the Cranston Senior Center.
Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children, Edward C. Choiniere of North Kingstown, Mark J. Choiniere and his wife Cindy of Warrenton, VA, and Jay M. Choiniere and his wife Victoria of Narragansett. He was the cherished grandfather of five and great-grandfather of five. Edward was the brother of Jeanne Harrington of Matunick, Raymond Choiniere of Bonnet Shores, and Jon Choiniere of North Kingstown, and the late Arthur Choiniere, Jr. and Robert Choiniere.
Funeral from the NARDOLILO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in the Church of St. Mark, 15 Garden Court, Cranston. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston, VISITING HOURS Friday 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Steere House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 100 Borden Street, Providence, RI 02903.
