74, of Cranston, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at RI Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Marianne (Medeiros) Carlucci for 40 years. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Anthony and Esther (Rose) Carlucci.
Edward was a dedicated auto mechanic for many years before transitioning to a beloved role in admissions at the Amica Mutual Pavilion, where he served with pride for 33 years. His deep appreciation for his coworkers reflected his warm heart and genuine spirit.
In addition to his professional life, Edward had a multitude of interests that brought him joy and fulfillment. He was particularly fond of tuxedo cats, fostering a love for animals that was evident in his affection for those around him. Antique shopping captivated his interest as he appreciated the stories and history behind cherished items. Edward's enthusiasm for all things automotive thrived through his love for classic cars and his enjoyment of watching motorsports, especially car racing (NASCAR, NHRA, IMSA, F1).
Edward found joy in attending and watching PC basketball games and watching the Boston Red Sox. He possessed a keen interest in history, with a special fascination for World War II, and enjoyed reliving tales of the past. His free time often included watching classic western shows, with a particular fondness for "Gunsmoke." Known for his comfortable style, he enjoyed wearing jeans, hat, car themed t-shirts, fleece, and sneakers, embodying a laid-back yet engaging personality.
Edward shared many cherished memories with his wife, Marianne, particularly during their visits to Sanibel Island, where they enjoyed the beauty and tranquility of the surroundings together. His love for oldies music added a nostalgic soundtrack to his life, enhancing the joy he found in everyday moments.
Besides his wife Marianne, he leaves behind his two cherished sisters-in-law, Kathy DelSanto of North Providence, and Karen Medeiros of Warwick. He also leaves behind his adored mother-in-law Beatrice Medeiros of North Providence. Edward was predeceased by his brother Ronald P. Carlucci.
Edward's life will be honored through a visitation held on Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a funeral service on Monday morning at 10:00 AM both taking place at Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. Burial will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
