EDMUND A. TRAVELYN

85, of Atwood Ave. Johnston and Salt Pond Way, Westerly passed away Wednesday August 3, 2011 at Miriam Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of 65 years to Madeline (Russo) Travelyn. A lifelong Johnston resident he was the son of the late Pasco Travelyn and the late Eva (Grandchamp) Travelyn. He was also the stepson of the late Mary Travelyn. Mr. Travelyn was a general superintendent for the former Forte Bros Construction Co. for 25 years until retiring and previously was a foreman for MA Gammino Construction Co. Edmund was a WW-2 Army/Air Corps Veteran and was a communicant of St. Rocco's Church and a member of it's Holy Name Society. Besides his wife he is survived by three sons; Edmund and his wife Jean of Bedford, NH; Kenneth and his wife Mary of North Scituate and Anthony and his wife Karen of Cranston; his grandchildren Danielle Thomas, Jay, Erica, Nicholas, Vincent, Samantha, Benjamin and Hannah Travelyn. He was the brother of Raymond Travelyn of Long Island and the late Teresa Hughs. His funeral will be held on Saturday at 9am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rocco's Church, Johnston at 10am. Internment, with military honors, will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Friday 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Rocco's Church, 927 Atwood Ave. Johnston, RI 02919.
