Edmund "Ned" A. Lutz, Jr.

73, of Wakefield went to his final resting place on July 25, 2024.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Edmund A., Sr. and Pamela (Holt) Lutz.

He graduated from LaSalle Academy in 1969 and received a bachelor’s degree from URI, having also attended the University of Arizona at Tucson.

Ned worked with the family business Lutz Engineering Co. Inc. from a young age for many years before founding HVAC Inc. with his father Ned and brother David where he flourished as a salesman. 

Ned was a social man growing up in R.I. He was a friend to everyone he met. Ned coordinated many social trips, ski houses, vacation rentals, parties and adventures for a host of his best friends. His home in Jamestown R.I., PemCo., was a house for fun filled events, the Best Halloween Parties and many a Bachelor Party for the friends that asked Ned to be their Best Man. 

Ned was part of a great group of successful TBI survivors group with Brain Injury of RI. He loved volunteering and enjoyed fundraising for Brain Injury of RI, his success due to the many contacts that he had made in life before his injury. He really enjoyed volunteering at the Rhode Island Gravity games and also volunteered at the Olympics in Atlanta, GA. in 1996. 

He leaves a brother, David A. Lutz, Sr. of Warwick; a sister, Derith Lutz and her husband Timothy Rose of Wakefield; a sister-in-law, Fran Lutz; a nephew, David Lutz, Jr.; and nieces, Melissa Lutz, Aria Santucci and Mallary Santucci. He also leaves a loved Aunt Jane Lutz and many cousins of the Lutz, Rudicil, and the Holt families.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, August 1st at 10:00 a.m. in St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland Street, Narragansett. VISITING HOURS will be held on Wednesday, July 31st from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory – SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road, (Rt. 1A), Narragansett. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brain Injury Association of Rhode Island, 1029 Waterman Avenue, East Providence, RI 02914.
