Edmund A. Lutz, Ned, Dad, Peepa- passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 25th, at the age of 88. Ned was born in 1925 in Providence, the 4th child of 8 born to Edward and Anna (Marceau) Lutz. Ned was a WW-II US Army Veteran serving in the Philippines, New Guinea and Luzon. He was an avid scholar and a lifelong learner, educated at Brown University and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Boston University with a degree in mechanical engineering. He began his career at Lutz engineering, a company founded by his father where he served as President. He later founded HVAC Incorporated with his sons where he was President. Ned was a licensed mechanical engineer and a member of ASHRAE. He was a member of Kirkbrae Country Club and the Rotary Club. Ned is survived by his loving wife Pamela (Holt) Lutz. He was a loving father to Ned Lutz Jr., Derith Lutz and her husband Tim Rose, and David Lutz. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Aria Santucci, Mallary Santucci, David Lutz Jr., and Milissa Lutz, and members of his family, Francesca Lutz, Frank Santucci, and Michael Cartier. He was the brother of Donald Lutz, Norman Lutz and the late Edward "Ted", Frederick, and his sisters Mary Rudicil, Ann Peto and Barbara Lutz. He spent his most memorable moments with his family and friends in Mashpee, MA, the Florida Keys, Port St. Lucie, FL and RI. Friends and family always enjoyed his great sense of humor, storytelling, and the love of languages. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Friday at 10:30am at the Swan Point Cemetery Chapel, 585 Blackstone Blvd., Providence. VISITING HOURS Thursday 4-8pm in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston.
