Edmund P. "Eddy" Calcagni

57, of Narragansett, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at home alongside his fiancé, Tracy Pellegrino and their dog, Charlie.  Born in Providence, Eddy was the son of Edmund R. and the late Rita (Picard) Calcagni.  He was the stepson of Eileen (Mackin) Calcagni.

Eddy is also survived by his siblings, Kristen Mauro of North Kingstown, Anthony Calcagni of North Providence, and Tara Mello of Lincoln.

Eddy attended Moses Brown, LaSalle Academy and CCRI in Warwick.  He worked for the City of Providence - Police Communications Department as a crew chief for 20 years.  After retirement, he was presently working for AAA – Providence office as a Dispatcher for the past 5 years.

Eddy was an avid sports fan, especially for the Boston Bruins which he frequently attended games in Boston.  He also enjoyed watching the Celtics and Patriots.

His funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Augustine Church, Providence at 11 a.m.  Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS are on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
