EDA (GUIDA) CANAAN

89, of North Providence, formerly of West Warwick, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2010 at Cherry Hill Manor, Johnston. She was the wife of the late Charles Canaan. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John and Jennie (Cherella) Guida. Eda was employed by the former Imperial Knife Company of Providence for forty years before retiring in 1975.

She is survived by her brothers Michael Guida of Warwick, Vincent Guida and Richard Guida, both of North Providence. She was the sister of the late Esther Montanaro, Madeline and Jennie Guida. Eda is also survived by her nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anthony's Church, Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, West Warwick. VISITING HOURS Thursday morning 9-10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony's Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence, RI 02904.
