72 of Saunderstown passed away Wednesday January 12, 2022 at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Providence he was the son of the late Joseph and Vincenza (Palmaccio) DiLorenzo. He was the husband of the late Kathleen (Moffitt) DiLorenzo.

He was a graduate of Bishop Hendricken High School. He received his medical degree from Brown University. He opened his own medical practice specializing in internal medicine and pediatrics. Joe had a great love for any activity outdoors. He was an avid camper, hiker and loved to canoe.

He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Mary Ann Borrelli and Donald. He also leaves his nieces and nephews Jeffrey and Kim Borrelli, Christine and Nathan Matson, Kevin and Alyssa Borrelli, and Eric Borrelli and his fiancé Erica Lee. He also leaves several extended family members. He was predeceased by his brother Richard DiLorenzo.

His family will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday January 18, 2022 at 10:00 at Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchid Rd. Cranston, RI 02921. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Wakefield.  Calling hours are kindly omitted. The mass will be livestreamed.
