DR. LEO L. NASTASI
DR. LEO L. NASTASI, 90, formerly of Miami, FL, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at Kent County Memorial Hospital in Warwick. He was the beloved husband for 64 years of Rose (Pereno) Nastasi. Born in New Orleans, LA, he was the son of the late Peter and Catherine (Paternostro) Nastasi.
Dr. Nastasi was a graduate of Tulane Medical School and was a family physician in private practice in Miami, FL. He was a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Kathleen Enloe and her husband Dave of Oroville, CA, Carol Southern and her husband Bill of Miami, FL, Theresa Nastasi and Sandra Catauro, both of Coventry, Toni Nastasi of Pensacola, FL and Debra Zarrella and her husband Gerald of Exeter; loving grandfather of seven; and dear brother of Jake Nastasi, Catherine Corso, Andy Cangelosi.
His funeral and entombment will be private.
