DR. BRINTON REYNOLDS MILLER

Dr. Brinton M. Miller 80, of Old Pine Road, Narragansett, passed away on Tuesday October 23, 2007 at home. He was the husband of the late Anne (Grove) Miller. Born in West Chester, PA, he was the son of the late George Reynolds and Helen (Brinton) Miller. Dr. Miller worked for Merck & Company as a Microbiologist for 30 years retiring in 1984. He discovered the class of antibiotics called Avermectins resulting in world wide control of the disease river blindness. He also worked for Neogen Corporation, improving national food safety. Dr. Miller was a WW ll Navy Veteran serving as a medical corpsman. He is survived by his children, Elizabeth Collie of Narragansett, Cynthia Miller of Albany,NY.,and Chris B. Miller of Montana; four grandchildren, Claire Collie, Samuel Collie, Brinton Leinung and Caroline Leinung. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Saturday at 1:00 p.m., in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME-SOUNTY COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck, Rd.(RT 1A) Narragansett.
