DR. ANTHONY L. MAZZA, 61, of Cruz Street, Cranston, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence.
Born in Providence, he was the beloved son of the late Louis and Lucy (Gamba) Mazza.
Dr. Mazza was a Child Psychologist for the Newport School Department for 26 years, retiring in 1999. He was a graduate of Cranston West High School; received his B.S. Degree from Seton Hall University; his Masters from RI College; and his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Phoenix.
He was a member of the Newport Ski Club and N.E.A.
Dr. Mazza was a generous and caring man who made lasting impressions with everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed by all.
He was the dear brother of Louis S. Mazza of Cranston; loving and cherished uncle of Louis and Aurora Mazza; and dear brother-in-law of Teresa "Terri" Mazza of Cranston. He is also survived by his beloved Labrador retriever "Bruno".
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Monday at 8:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rocco's Church, 927 Atwood Ave., Johnston at 9:00 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
