Dr. Avedisian graduated from Providence College and Temple University College of Dentistry. He practiced dentistry in Cranston and Peace Dale for 50 years and also served as Dental Officer in the RI Air National Guard. A WW-II U.S. Army Air Forces veteran, he served as a B-24 Gunner in the 15th Air Force in Italy and was the recipient of the Air Medal and several other awards and campaign ribbons. He was an active member in the Kiwanis Club and was past president of the Tavern Hall Preservation Society of Kingston.
He was the dear brother of the late Anna Yessian, Emma Mardirosian, Avedis J. Avedisian, Manoog J. Avedisian, Vian J. Avedisian, Mary A. Najarian and Rose V. Kolligian; and is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Inurnment with Military Honors will take place on Saturday, September 4th at 10 a.m. in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter to which relatives and friends are invited.
