DOROTHY M. (MARCHETTI) IADEVAIA

80, of Greenville, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at the North Bay Manor in Smithfield. She was the beloved wife of Lawrence Iadevaia for 63 years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Vincenza (DeTomasso) Marchetti. Dorothy was the owner and a hairdresser of the former Debra Dee's Salon in North Providence for 20 years until her retirement. She also traveled as a hairdresser and worked with the elderly. Prior to that, she worked alongside her husband Lawrence who owned Hand Crafted Denim Products. Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving children, Debra Buckley and her husband William of Johnston, Larry Iadevaia and Veronica Smith of Smithfield, and Paul Iadevaia of Greenville; her cherished grandchildren, Krystal Buckley, Matthew Buckley, and Paul Iadevaia; her dear siblings, Gabriel Maioli of Florida and Anne McGowan of Providence. She was also the sister of the late Ralph Maioli, Katherine Grenga, and Louis Marchetti. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in the Cathedral of SS Peter and Paul, 30 Fenner St., Providence. Burial will be private. VISITING HOURS will be Wednesday morning from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. The family would like to thank the North Bay Manor for their wonderful care, kindness and compassion during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 245 Waterman St., Suite 306, Providence, R.I. 02906.
