Dorothy G. Ferranti

76, of East Providence, passed away with her loving family by her side on Monday, July 15, 2024, at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. She was the beloved wife of Vincent Ferranti for 44 years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late William and Gladys (Bacon) Dapont. 

Dorothy dedicated 20 years of her life as a Librarian AID at Weaver Library in East Providence, where she touched the lives of many with her passion for literature and knowledge. Her commitment to serving the community through the love of books was truly admirable.

In her leisure time, Dorothy found joy in various activities such as reading books, accompanying her husband Vinny on scenic rides, fishing, cooking delicious meals, collecting crystals, sewing, and camping. 

Besides her husband Vincent, she is survived by her daughter Dawn. She was predeceased by her daughter Denise. Cherished grandchildren Thomas, Christopher, and Christine. Sister of the late Buddy Barrett, Louis Ciorlano, and Diane Angelino. 

Her funeral services are respectfully private.
