86, of Cranston, previously of Dade City, FL passed away on Thursday January 27, 2011 at The Scandinavian Home, Cranston. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond A. Demers. Dorothy was born in Central Falls, the daughter of the late Joseph and Bernadette (Genest) Ward. Mrs. Demers was a Telephone Operator for Bell Telephone for several years. She also worked at St. Charles Boromeo School cafeteria. She enjoyed spending time with family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Norman Demers and his wife Karen of NC, Paulette Turco of MA, Suzanne McKiernan and her husband George of Narragansett and Madeleine Demers of Cranston. She was also the grandmother of 7, great grandmother of 6, and was the sister of the late Beatrice Jacques, Laura Ruest and Mildred Hennessey. Her funeral will be held on Monday at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Paul's Church, One St. Paul Place, Cranston. Her burial will be private. VISITING HOURS: Sunday 4-7 pm.
