DOROTHY M. (SMITH) ANTOSIA

Dorothy M. (Smith) Antosia 86, of Susan Circle Johnston, passed away Tuesday May 12, 2009 at Roger Williams Hospital, Providence. She was the beloved wife of Peter Antosia. They were married 64 years. Born in Birmingham, England a daughter of the late Henry Field Smith and Elizabeth (Lawley) Smith. Dorothy was an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking, traveling, crossword puzzles, and reading books. She also enjoyed walking along the beaches in Newport. Besides her husband Peter she is survived by her loving children, Faith Valente and her husband Mark of Cranston, Christine DeSimone and her husband David of Cranston, and Dr. Robert Antosia of Boston, MA. She was also the cherished grandmother of Tristan, Nevan, and Daniel, and was the sister of Norman, Joyce and Teddy, and was the aunt of Keith, Susan, Michael, Colin, Marilyn and Sandra all of England. Dorothy was also the loving mother of the late Peter Antosia III and Kenneth Antosia. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted, and her funeral and burial will be private.
