DORIS R. (RINGE) DARLING-SDROJEK

100, of Maryland, formerly of Rhode Island, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at Morningside Assisted Living in Maryland. She was the wife of the late George H. Darling and Herbert W. Sdrojek. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Wilhelmina (Lorio) Ringe. Doris was employed as a comptometer operator for the former Gorham Silver Company in Providence for many years until her retirement. She is survived by her children Judith Grimes and her husband Colonel William Grimes of Rumney, NH and Dawn Jackson and her husband Dr. Robert E. Jackson, Jr. of Highland, MD. Doris was the grandmother of four granddaughters and the late Robert E. Jackson, III. She was also the great grandmother of six. Doris was the sister of Edith Stamp of Cranston and the late Frank Ringe, Elsie Berghahn and Ruth Redinger. Her funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Elmwood Avenue, Providence at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be held in North Burial Ground Cemetery, North Main Street, Providence.
