Donald A. "Rooster" Rachiele

a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2024, at the age of 89, surrounded by his loving family. Born on December 29, 1934, in Providence, Rhode Island, Donald's life was marked by dedication, warmth, and a commitment to bringing joy to those around him.

For an impressive 48 years, Donald served as a waiter at the Twin Oaks Restaurant, where he provided exceptional service and formed lasting connections with patrons and colleagues alike. His commitment to his work was paralleled only by his enthusiasm for the relationships he cultivated throughout his career.

A proud veteran, Donald served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, demonstrating his dedication to his country. His military service was just one facet of a life filled with purpose and camaraderie.

Outside of his professional life, Donald enjoyed a vibrant social calendar and cherished spending time with friends. His interests included golfing, bowling, cornhole, and cribbage, activities that further allowed him to connect with others and share his joy for life.

Donald is survived by his devoted wife, Lillian T. "Chickie" (Dulong) Rachiele; his sons, Donald Rachiele (Betsy), David Rachiele (Karla Flores), and Dennis Rachiele (Loida); his daughter, Denise Rachiele; and his grandsons, Jake Rachiele and Max Rachiele.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Rachiele; his mother, Pearl (Belushio) Rachiele; and his sister, Kathy Dicarlo Vick.

VISITING HOURS Friday, September 20, 2024 from 9-11am followed by a funeral service at 11am in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave, Cranston.

Donald A. Rachiele leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
