Donald W. Miller, 69 of Narragansett, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at South County Hospital, in Wakefield. He was born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Harold J. Miller, Sr. and Edelia A. (Marini) Miller.
Donald was a Lieutenant with RI State Police for 25 years until his retirement in 1991; and was also an avid New York Yankees and New York Giants fan. Whoever tried to dispute their greatness, never won the argument. He also enjoyed golfing with his friends at various courses throughout Rhode Island. Donald was also a Vietnam Navy veteran.
He is survived by his loving children, Kendra L. Miller of MA, Tyler Nugent Miller of North Kingstown, his dear siblings, Edward M. Miller of MO, Harold J. Miller Jr. of FL, Dorothy C. Barrett of Pawtucket and Carolyn A. Albright of IL. and his uncle, Edward Miller who is 100 years old of Pawtucket. Donald was also the beloved companion of Susan Lareau of Narragansett.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9 am from the Nardolillo Funeral Home SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL 1111 Boston Neck Rd. (Rte. 1A) Narragansett, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Veronica Chapel, Narragansett. Burial will take place in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
