On Tuesday, May 2nd, Don Bockoven passed away peacefully in the presence of his family. He was 80 years old.
Don was born on October 25, 1942 in Orange, New Jersey to Fred and Winni Bockoven. He moved to Wilmington, Delaware, where he graduated from Mount Pleasant High School. Don was an outstanding athlete on the football field, the wrestling mat, and on the track team as well. He continued his wrestling at The University of Delaware, where he graduated in 1965. After living in many places around the United States, he settled in Rhode Island in 1977. He had a long and respected career in computer and software sales, specifically in the jewelry manufacturing software business in Providence. Don was an avid racquetball and badminton player, as well as a loyal Patriots fan. He was also known to be generous in wealth and spirit by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of seven years Pamela Bockoven who was by his side, his older sister Barbera Altizer, his younger brother Fred Jr, his sons William (Michelle) and David (Linda), and grandchildren Ethan, Ava, Drew, and Henry. He is preceded in death by his wife of thirty years, Judy Roy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 11am in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory-SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road, (Rt.1A), Narragansett. In lieu of flowers, please forward any donations to http://www.hopehealthco.org
