Donald J. "Donnie" Bessette, Jr.

49, of Johnston, passed away after a short illness on Friday, November 1, 2024 at the UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, MA, surrounded by family. Born in Providence, RI, he was the cherished son of Ann Marie (Cardillo) Bessette and the late Donald J. Bessette, Sr.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his loving sister Dana M. Horton and her husband Brian, and their children Matthew, Sophia and Colin Horton.

Donald worked in construction for many years. He attended the New England Institute of Technology. He loved the New England Patriots, New York Yankees and enjoyed watching NASCAR races. He also enjoyed taking out his boat and fishing on local waters. He was loved by all who knew him. He had a very caring and nurturing personality, which served him well when taking care of his parents over the years. He was a wonderful and kind son, brother, uncle and friend.

His Funeral services will be private.
