Dominick Vivenzio 95, of Flintstone Road, Narragansett, formerly of Cranston, died Friday, January, 16, 2009 at home. He was the beloved husband of sixty-seven years to Jeanne S. (Scherperel) Vivenzio. Born in Naples, Italy, he was a son of the late Giosue and Cristina (Marsilia) Vivenzio. Mr. Vivenzio was a commercial HVAC installer for the former Lutz Engineering Company of Providence for twenty-five years before retiring in 1978. Dominick was a US Navy veteran serving during WW II. He was a member of Union Local #51, Providence, VFW Post # 329 and the Navy Seabee Veterans of America. Mr. Vivenzio was the co-founder of (CLCF) Cranston League for Cranston's Future. He was an avid bowler and golfer. Mr.Vivenzio marched in the Bristol 4th of July Parade with the Iwo Jima Survivor Group. Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children, Joseph "Don" Vivenzio and his companion Dorothy Wilkes of Wakefield and Elaine D. Burgess and her husband Randy of Pasco Washington. Dominick was the cherished grandfather of Nicholas D. Vivenzio and his wife Kasey of Warwick and Stefan F. Scherperel and his wife Stephanie of Seattle, Washington. He was the brother of Yolanda Velleca of Bristol, Philomena St. Germain of Cranston and the late Matilda Martinez, Joseph, Anthony and Vincenzo Vivenzio. His funeral service will be held on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. in Nardolillo Funeral Home, SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road, (Rt.1A) Narragansett.
