95, of Johnston, passed away on Sunday January 27, 2013 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was recently residing at the Scalabrini Villa in North Kingstown. She was the beloved wife of the late Peter "Pio" Rampino. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Pietro and Alesandrina (Margiotta) Laquaglia.
Domenica worked as a jewelry manufacturer for the former Bulova Watch Company of Providence and the Fero Novelty Company of Johnston until her retirement. She was a communicant of Holy Cross Church and was a former member of the ladies guild of Holy Cross Church. She was also a hairdresser prior to getting married.
She is survived by her loving children, Kenneth J. Rampino and his wife Susan of Seekonk, MA, Deborah M. and her husband B. Lee Gorman of Seekonk, MA, and her daughter-in-law Alice Rampino of Cranston. She was the mother of the late Richard R. Rampino and is also survived by her grandchildren Kenneth R. Rampino, Marissa L. Rampino, Samantha K. Gorman, Tara P. Rampino, Briana Rampino, Sandra Burch, and her great-grandchildren Kia, Mya, Charlotte Mae, Isabelle, Dara, Dana, and Cory. She was the sister of the late Etta Carbone. She was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, 18 King Philip Street, Providence, R.I. 02909. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Scalabrini Villa, 860 N Quidnesset Rd., North Kingstown, R.I. 02852 or the Holy Cross Church Memorial Fund.
