91, of Cranston, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2013. He was the beloved husband of the late Victoria A. (Corsetti) Rignanese for 66 years. Mr. Rignanese was born in Manfredonia, Italy, the son of the late Biagio and Maria (Lombardi) Rignanese. He came to this country at the age of 8 and became part of the "great generation" that shared common beliefs and values of service, courage, responsibility, and love of family, country and God. He served in the U.S. Navy/Seabees during World War II, stationed in the Pacific. He was in the printing industry his entire life and worked at Paramount Press and then as a President of Narragansett Business Forms. In the community, he was an active participant of United Commercial Traveler's, the Immaculate Conception Church Men's Guild, a founding member of the Jimmy Fund Council of Rhode Island and an avid bowler. Mr. Rignanese took great pride in his family, community, church, and profession; exhibiting this on a daily basis. He had an endless work ethic and his greatest joy was giving and sharing. He was an exemplary husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and an inspiration to his children and grandchildren. Mr. Rignanese is survived by his daughter Linda Newman and her husband John Newman, his son Domenic Rignanese, his daughter Cynthia Parrillo and her husband Dave Parrillo, his son David Rignanese and his wife Lisa Rignanese; his grandchildren Shari Soucy, Brendan Newman, Matthew Rignanese, Christopher Newman, Dayna Rignanese, and Briana Rignanese ; his 2 great-grandchildren. Domenic was the brother of the late Donata Cicctielli and Lawrence Rignansese. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 237 Garden Hills Drive, Cranston. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
