64, of Johnston, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Providence. He was the husband of Cheryl A (Mumford) Pine. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John and Maria Concetta (Palumbo) Pine. Domenic was a maintenance employee for the former Jewish Home for the Aged for ten years before retiring in 1995. He was a US Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children Deanna M. Pine of Johnston, Steven M. Pine and his wife Sara of Smithfield, Kristopher A. DePalma of Sarasota, FL and Michael A. DePalma and his wife Robyn of Harrisville. He was the grandfather of Hanna and Jesse Pine, and Michael and Jessie Lynn DePalma. Domenic was the brother of John J. Pine of Warwick, Concetta Amalfitano, Loretta Antuono, both of Cranston, Nancy Klekot of Warwick, and the late Barbara Drury and Margaret Reiner.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Bartholomew's Church, 297 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Thursday 4-8 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, Domenick J. Romeo Chapter #10, 36 Vincent Way, Cranston, RI 02921.
