DOMENIC GALASSO, JR
DOMENIC GALASSO, JR., 83, of Pleasant View Ave., Smithfield, passed away Friday, January 23, 2009 at Hopkins Manor in North Providence. He was the beloved husband of Lucy (DelSesto) Galasso.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Domenic and Pasqualina (Pezzullo) Galasso.
Domenic was the owner and operator of Atwood and Gale Construction Company for many years before retiring. He was a member of Teamsters Local 251.
Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Judith Lepre and her husband Joseph of Sterling, CT and Susan Lombardi and her husband Richard of Warwick; loving grandfather of Jennifer, Michelle, Stephanie and Paul; and dear brother of Frank, Anthony, Raymond and Etta Galasso, Pauline Pilozzi and the late Margaret Ferretti and Rose Cianci.
His funeral will be held Monday at 8:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Rd., Warwick at 10:00 a.m.
Entombment will be in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
